If you have ever wanted to curl your hair with extensions but were unsure of how to do it, this is for you! We will be discussing tips on how to curl and heat style your hair with Natural Beaded Row™ (NBR) extensions. NBR extensions are made from human hair and can be styled with heat. This makes them a versatile option for those who want to add length and volume to their hair without significantly adjusting their styling routine. Let’s get started!

Before we dive into how to curl your hair with NBR extensions, let’s talk about the items you will need. You will need the following items:

  • A curling iron
  • Hair clips
  • A comb
  • Hairspray (optional)

First, you will want to start with clean, dry hair. Use a comb to section off your hair. Starting at the back of your head, take small sections of your hair and clip them up so they are out of the way. Make sure that the wefts (the part of the extension that attaches to your natural hair) in your extensions are curled together with your natural hair to integrate your extensions further.

Use a curling iron with the diameter you want to curl small sections of your hair. Hold each section for 10-15 seconds before releasing it and if you can adjust the temperature of the iron, make sure to keep it on a lower level for heightened protection of your natural hair and extensions. Once you have curled all of your hair, let it cool for a few minutes before spraying it with hairspray (optional). Finally, release all of the sections of your hair from the clips and comb through it gently with your fingers or a wide-toothed comb.

Other types of heat styling can be used as a great way to change up your look and add some variety to your hairstyle repertoire. The best thing about NBR extensions is that they can be styled just like your natural hair! This means that you can use a flat iron, wave techniques, or even hot rollers on your hair without damaging the extensions or causing them to lose their shape.

When heat styling NBR extensions, we recommend using a heat protectant spray on both the extensions and your natural hair before applying any heat styling tools. This will help protect your hair from damage caused by the heat. Once you have applied the heat protectant spray, you can style your hair as you normally would using any heating tools. Always make sure not to use too much heat, as this can damage both your natural hair and the extensions.

When you are finished heat styling, we recommend spraying your hair with a lightweight, moisturizing hairspray or styling serum to help tame any flyaways and keep your style in place all day long.
